    Sammanfattning : The thesis consists of an introduction and four appended papers. In the introduction we give an overview of pulse-modulated systems and provide a few examples of such systems.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis, optimization approaches for intensity-modulated radiation therapy are developed and evaluated with focus on numerical efficiency and treatment delivery aspects.     Sammanfattning : Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is curable in around 70% when treated with standard immunochemotherapy R- CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone). Treatment related toxicity affecting survivors is a clinical problem as well as comorbidities influencing the possibility to give adequate treatment. LÄS MER
