  1. 1. Molecular Probing of Local Protein-Protein Interactions : Studies of the tissue factor, factor VIIa complex formation

    Författare :Maria Österlund; Mikael Oliveberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Protein-protein interactions are intrinsic to virtually all cellular processes. However, very little is known about the dynamics of the formation of protein complexes or the order of events that direct the association between two protein molecules (the association pathway), especially when different interacting surfaces are involved. 2. 2. Assessment of stormwater and snowmelt quality based on water management priorities and the consequent water quality parameters

    Författare :Helen Galfi; Maria Viklander; Jiri Marsalek; Helene Österlund; Jon M. Hathaway; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Stormwater quality; indicator bacteria; water quality assessment; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : Stormwater and snowmelt pollution contributes to degradation of quality of the receiving waters. For assessing such impacts, it is effective to focus on specific causes of degradation, as done in this study of the quality of stormwater and snowmelt discharges into the receiving waters serving for supply of raw drinking water and water-based recreation. 3. 3. An evaluation of sources contributing to urban runoff pollution

    Författare :Alexandra Müller; Maria Viklander; Helene Österlund; Jiri Marsalek; Shirley E. Clark; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Stormwater quality; Pollution sources; Building surface materials; Traffic activities; Source identification methods; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : Urban runoff is a significant pathway for the transport of diverse substances from the urban environment to receiving water bodies. Many of these substances are pollutants of environmental concern with potentially harmful effects on aquatic life. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Urban Surfaces as Sources of Stormwater Pollution : An Evaluation of Substances Released from Building Envelopes

    Författare :Alexandra Müller; Maria Viklander; Helene Österlund; Jiri Marsalek; Per-Arne Malmqvist; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : Stormwater is an important transport pathway for pollutants from the urban environment into receiving water bodies, and, thus, it contributes to the deterioration of urban surface waters. The aim of this Licentiate thesis was to advance the understanding of the contributions of urban stormwater pollutants from building surface materials, and evaluate the implications for stormwater quality. 5. 5. Quality of snow deposited in urban areas : Storage, load assessment and release of selected pollutants with snowmelt

    Författare :Arya Vijayan; Maria Viklander; Helene Österlund; Jiri Marsalek; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : Snow deposited in urban areas is exposed to pollutants originating from traffic, wet and dry atmospheric deposition, de-icing chemicals and traction materials. The conventional pollutants found in urban snow include solids (TSS), metals (Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb, etc.), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), and chlorides. LÄS MER
