21. Mechanical Properties of Resistance Spot Welds in Lightweight Applications
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis is concerned with residual stresses in aluminum alloy 6061-T6 resistance spot welded joint. Several topics related to mechanical strength of welded structures are treated such as; nugget size and microhardness and microstructures of weld zone and their influence on mechanical strength of welded structure, failure load measurement using tensile-shear test, resistance spot welding simulation, residual stress measurement by X-ray diffraction method and analysis effect of welding parameters on the mechanical strength and the residual stresses. 22. Textile architecture informed by wind
Sammanfattning : Textiles in architecture is a field of great potential, which are worth to explore further. This thesis aims to show that the flexibility of the textile material could be better included in the architectural design, allowing it to adapt to forces, such as the wind, and viewing motion as a positive design feature. 23. Recyclable self-reinforced ductile fiber composite materials for structural applications
Sammanfattning : Lightweight structures in vehicles are a proven way to reduce fuel consumption and the environmental impact during the use. Lower structural weight can be achieved by using high performance materials such as composites or using the material efficiently as a sandwich structure. LÄS MER
24. Opportunities for Weight Reduction in Composite Marine Structures
Sammanfattning : Composite marine structures are desirable for a variety of reasons. Compared to traditional steel structures, they enable the construction of vessels with lower fuel consumption, higher top speed, better stability, lower maintenance, higher cargo capacity, or combinations thereof. 25. Lightweight consistency checking for advancing continuous model-based development in industry
Sammanfattning : For the development of modern software-intensive systems, a large number of development artifacts are created and maintained to design and implement their intended structure and behavior. In this thesis, we consider continuous model-based development settings in which models and other development artifacts are developed incrementally, in short development cycles. LÄS MER
