  1. 1. Sprutbyte vid Intravenöst Narkotikamissbruk : En longitudinell studie av deltagarna i sprutbytesprogrammet i Malmö

    Författare :Nils Stenström; Åke Bergmark; Arne Gerdner; Mats Berglund; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Intravenous drug use; syringe and or needle exchange; hepatitis; syringe exchange user; service uptake; syringe coverage; risk behavior; syringe sharing; social integration; sub-cultural involvement; HIV; Sprutbyte; sprutbytare; servicenyttjande; spruttäckning; riskbeteende; sprutdelning; social integration; subkulturell involvering; Social work; Socialt arbete;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe the users visiting the syringe exchange clinic in Malmö with respect to what characterises the group, how they utilize the services of the clinic and how their patterns of participation relate to risk behaviour, physical and mental health and social development. The heterogeneity of the group has been captured by the use of Stimsons dimensions “integration in majority society” and “involvement in sub-culture”, yielding four different groups of syringe exchangers: “stables”, “loners”, “two-worlders” and “junkies”. 2. 2. Lecithin-Based Microemulsions for Pharmaceutical use - Phase behavior and Solution Structure

    Författare :Christian von Corswant; Livsmedelsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Food and drink technology; felodipine; solubilization; drug delivery; self-diffusion NMR; alkylmaltoside; microstructure; isopropyl myristate; triglyceride; soybean phosphatidylcholine; Microemulsion; lecithin; Livsmedelsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Microemulsions are thermodynamically stable, transparent solutions of water, oil and amphiphile(s). It is possible to incorporate large amounts of oil in microemulsions, which makes them interesting for use as a drug delivery vehicle for water insoluble drugs. A prerequisite for pharmaceutical use, however, is a low toxicity of the composition. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Piperaquine - Bioanalys, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics

    Författare :Joel Tärning; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Piperaquine; malaria; Plasmodium falciparum; antimalarials; ACT; pharmacokinetics; NONMEM; population pharmacokinetics; NCA; bioavailability; enterohepatic circulation; metabolism; metabolites; animal models; bioanalysis; regression models; validation; HPLC; LC-MS MS; H-NMR; FTICR-MS;

    Sammanfattning : Malaria is one of the most abundant parasitic diseases in the world affecting many of the poorest economies. The estimated prevalence is 300 to 700 million clinical episodes each year with up to 3 million deaths. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Pharmacokinetics of the enantiomers of thalidomide

    Författare :Tommy Eriksson; Avdelningen för klinisk kemi och farmakologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; protein binding; blood distribution; stereoselective pharamacokinetics; pharmacokinetic modelling; oral administration; intravenous administration; chiral inversion; stereospecific assay; HPLC; Thalidomide; hydroxylated metabolites; enantiomers; in vitro kinetics; sedative effects; concentration-effect relationship.; Pharmacological sciences; pharmacognosy; pharmacy; toxicology; Farmakologi; farmakognosi; farmaci; toxikologi;

    Sammanfattning : Thalidomide has a chiral center and the racemate of (+)-(R) and (-)-(S)-thalidomide was introduced as a hypnotic/sedative drug in 1957. In 1961 it was withdrawn due to teratogenicity and neuropathy. There is a growing interest in thalidomide treatment of immunomodulatory diseases. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Intravenous induction of anaesthesia in children : aspects on propofol and etomidate

    Författare :Yvonne Nyman; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Propofol is today the most commonly used drug for induction of anaesthesia and for short-term sedation. However, one specific problem is that intravenous injection of propofol often results in quite severe injection pain, which in the paediatric population is a serious clinical dilemma. LÄS MER
