  1. 1. Advanced Functional Materials for Intermediate-Temperature Ceramic Fuel Cells

    Författare :Zhan Gao; Bill Bergman; Mogens Mogensen; Ceramics; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Low to intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC, 500 oC-700 oC) based on doped ceria (DCO) electrolyte has attracted much attention during the last decade. However, DCO suffers from electronic conduction caused byreduction of Ce (IV) to Ce (III) at high temperatures and low oxygen partial pressures and has a high grain-boundary resistivity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Relaxation and nanomechanical studies of the vickers residual stress field in glass

    Författare :Kwadwo O. Kese; Bill Bergman; Sture Hogmak; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; soda-lime glass; vickers residual stress field; nanoindentation; stress rekaxatuib; cube corner indenter; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The Vickers residual stress field (VRSF) in soda-lime glass results from the elastic-plastic contact event that takes place when a Vickers diamond pyramid is loaded onto the surface of the material in an indentation cycle. The importance of elastic-plastic indentation lies in the contact damage that it gives rise to in the surface of the glass. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Preparation and characterization of perovskite structure lanthanum gallate and lanthanum aluminate based oxides

    Författare :Shuai Li; Bill Bergman; Mogens Mogensen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lanthanum gallate; lanthanum aluminate; ceria; composite; solid oxide fuel cell; electrolyte; polymer complexing.; Functional materials; Funktionella material;

    Sammanfattning : The present work was initiated to study the synthesis and properties of lanthanum gallate based oxides as intermediate temperature electrolyte for solid oxide fuel cells. The wet chemical method, polymer complexing route, was used to prepare the precursor powders. LÄS MER
