6. Computational driver behavior models for vehicle safety applications
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to investigate how human driving behaviors can be formally described in mathematical models intended for online personalization of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) or offline virtual safety evaluations. Both longitudinal (braking) and lateral (steering) behaviors in routine driving and emergencies are addressed. LÄS MER
7. Data-driven quality management using explainable machine learning and adaptive control limits
Sammanfattning : In industrial applications, the objective of statistical quality management is to achieve quality guarantees through the efficient and effective application of statistical methods. Historically, quality management has been characterized by a systematic monitoring of critical quality characteristics, accompanied by manual and experience-based root cause analysis in case of an observed decline in quality. 8. On the numerical modelling of impinging jets heat transfer
Sammanfattning : This thesis collects two studies on heat transfer in impinging jets and on methods for modeling flows of this kind using CFD. Stationary impinging jets with different nozzle to wall distances (z/D = 2 and 6) and Re (10000, 20000, 23000, 30000) are modeled. Steady-state models capture the important features of heat transfer in these jets. LÄS MER
9. Energy system perspectives on transport biofuel policies – a modelling analysis
Sammanfattning : Climate concerns and energy security issues have in recent years triggered the interest in biofuels for transport. This has resulted in governmental and intergovernmental targets that, if implemented, will lead to an unprecedented growth in biofuel production. LÄS MER
10. Techno-Economic Perspectives on Biofuel Futures – Modelling Transport Sector Strategies in an Energy System Context
Sammanfattning : The high oil dependence and the continuous growth of energy use in the transport sector have in recent years triggered interest in transport biofuels as a measure to mitigate climate change andimprove energy security. This work aims to examine techno-economic interactions linked totransport biofuel strategies in national and regional energy systems and their implications for thecost-effective realisation of energy policy objectives.
