  1. 1. Numerical Methods for Aerodynamic Shape Optimization

    Författare :Olivier Amoignon; Martin Berggren; Per Lötstedt; Olivier Pironneau; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computational Fluid Dynamics; shape optimization; adjoint equations; edge-based finite-volume method; moving mesh adaptation; radial basis functions; inviscid compressible flow; transition control; Numerical Analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Gradient-based aerodynamic shape optimization, based on Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis of the flow, is a method that can automatically improve designs of aircraft components. The prospect is to reduce a cost function that reflects aerodynamic performances. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reportaget som kom av sig : en analys av reportaget som textform utifrån produktionsperspektivet och sändarrollen med betoning på reporterns personliga tonfall : en undersökning av reportaget i några landsortstidningar 1960-1985

    Författare :Lars J. Hultén; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Reportage is a generally accepted, yet poorly defined genre in Swedish newspaperterminology. It is usually associated with journalistic texts that are produced outside theroutines of daily news coverage; reportage features also have a more personal tone thanstandard news texts in that the reporter imparts his or her personal observations andperceptions of the scene in question. 3. 3. Lipid Nanotube Networks: Shape Transitions and Insights into the Dynamics of Self-Organization

    Författare :Tatsiana Lobovkina; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; circular nanotube; shape transition; enzymatic reaction; nanotube knot; self-organization; liposome; lipid nanotube; lipid vesicle; nanotube-vesicle network;

    Sammanfattning : Nanotube-vesicle networks (NVNs) are simplified models of cell membrane tubular systems which are dynamic transportation routs for molecular cargoes in biological cells. The presented work describes dynamic properties of NVNs such as self-organization, shape and topology transformations; moreover, specific geometric properties of the networks are used for controlling enzymatic reactions. 4. 4. Receptivity of Boundary-Layer Flows over Flat and Curved Walls

    Författare :Lars-Uve Schrader; Luca Brandt; Dan Stefan Henningson; Gregoire Casalis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Boundary-layer receptivity; laminar-turbulent transition; swept-plate boundary layer; Görtler flow; leading-edge effects; swept-wing flow; crossflow vortices; Görtler rolls; disturbance streaks; wall roughness; free-stream turbulence; Fluid mechanics; Strömningsmekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Direct numerical simulations of the receptivity and instability of boundary layers on flat and curved surfaces are herein reported. Various flow models are considered with the aim to capture aspects of flows over straight and swept wings such as wall curvature, pressure variations, leading-edge effects, streamline curvature and crossflow. 5. 5. Tunable Magnetic Properties of Transition Metal Compounds

    Författare :Solveig Felton; Per Nordblad; Peter Svedlindh; John Chapman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Magnetic properties; Transition metal compounds; Magnetic structure; Domain structure; SQUID-magnetometry; MFM; Magnetism; Magnetism;

    Sammanfattning : The magnetic properties of transition metal compounds have been studied using SQUID-magnetometry, magnetic force microscopy and Lorentz transmission electron microscopy. New magnetic materials have been found and their magnetic properties have been determined. How the magnetic properties of a material can be changed through e.g. LÄS MER
