21. Samarbete på könsblandade arbetsplatser : en könsteoretisk analys av arbetsdelning mellan kvinnor och män i två yrken: akutsjuksköterskor och ordningspoliser
Sammanfattning : In this thesis I adress the problem of intra-occuptional sex segregation in the labour market, especially in male-dominated professions and workplaces. By intra-occupational sex segregation, or internal sex segregation, I mean the division of work tasks that develops in occupations in which we find both women and men with the same education and initially the same positions in the organisation. 22. Radiation-Induced Damage Processes in Nuclear Reactor Environments
Sammanfattning : It is essential that the materials used in nuclear reactor applications maintain their structural integrity. However, consequences of the strong radiation field in the reactor core include radiolysis of the water surrounding the materials, as well as direct defect generation in the material itself. LÄS MER
23. Phase-field modeling of surface-energy driven processes
Sammanfattning : Surface energy plays a major role in many phenomena that are important in technological and industrial processes, for example in wetting, grain growth and sintering. In this thesis, such surface-energy driven processes are studied by means of the phase-field method. LÄS MER
24. Living in the calm and safe part of the city : The socio-spatial reproduction of upper-middle class neighbourhoods in Malmö
Sammanfattning : When residential segregation is mentioned in news coverage and when it is talked about in everyday discourse in Sweden, it is very often associated with immigration and minority groups living in the poorer areas of the city. A common assumption is that “immigrants” actively withdraw from society and that they choose to live together rather than integrating with the majority population. LÄS MER
25. Imaging vision : functional mapping of intermediate visual processes in man
Sammanfattning : The human visual system is highly adept at recognizing objects independent of changes in viewing conditions, such as viewpoint, illumination, and partial occlusions by other objects in the visual environment. This invariance to viewing conditions is believed to be achieved by generating invariant shape representations from the variable visual input. LÄS MER
