  1. 1. If you want to go far, go with others – How using a collaborative project delivery model affects the project network in infrastructure construction projects

    Författare :Anna af Hällström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; collaboration; infrastructure construction; social ties; major projects; AEC industry; project network; project management;

    Sammanfattning : The growth of projects has elicited much interest in the last decades, both in academia and amongst practitioners. The increase in scale and complexity has further brought attention to the particulars of interorganisational collaboration: as projects grow, the relevance and impact of interdependencies between participating organisations rise to the surface. 2. 2. Comparing Procurement Methods in Road Construction Projects : Influence on Uncertainty, Interaction and Knowledge

    Författare :Robert Lundström; Martin Johanson; Amjad Hadjikhani; Jaana Tähtinen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Procurement methods; uncertainty; interaction; knowledge; construction; network; project; Business Studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The construction sector is often considered to show a number of limitations regarding efficiency and effectiveness, conclusions normally drawn irrespective of project procurement method used, and despite the common assumption that differences among approaches exist regarding these aspects. The study investigates differences and similarities among procurement methods using a longitudinal multi-case study based on two comparatively large infrastructure projects: a traditional so-called design-bid-build project and an unconventional so-called design-build-maintain project. 3. 3. Addressing the need of transition by socializing and making new friends : A socio-technical perspective on large-scale change in construction

    Författare :Olof Håkansson; Henrik Linderoth; Mattias Jacobsson; Annika Moscati; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Construction industry; digitalization; socio-technical system; transition; technological niches; strategic innovation program; actor-network theory;

    Sammanfattning : This research took its point of departure in the aspiration of large-scale change of the construction industry, where existing industry structures has been frequently criticized. To facilitate innovation and change in the Swedish construction industry, a strategic innovation program has been established based on the idea that research, innovation, and development should manifest itself through the mobilization of collaborative and actor-driven networks. 4. 4. Reinforcement in Biology : Stochastic models of group formation and network construction

    Författare :Qi Ma; David Sumpter; Edward Codling; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Empirical studies show that similar patterns emerge from a large number of different biological systems. For example, the group size distributions of several fish species and house sparrows all follow power law distributions with an exponential truncation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Digitalization and innovation in the real estate and facility management sectors - an ecosystem perspective

    Författare :Olli Kytömäki; Kent Eriksson; Kim Wikström; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : Digitalization has become a topic of several presentations and discussions in real estate industry seminars in recent years. Often the speeches are about why the real estate industry needs digitalization, presenting threats and opportunities for the participants of the seminars. LÄS MER
