  1. 1. Systematics, phylogeography and multiple origins of morphs in two species complexes belonging to Cistaceae, Helianthemum oelandicum and H. nummularium

    Författare :Eman Soubani; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; introgression; parallel evolution; postglacial migration; genetic polymorphism; Pleistocene; morphometry; H. nummularium; Helianthemum oelandicum; cpDNA;

    Sammanfattning : The Helianthemum oelandicum complex shows considerable morphological variation across its geographic distribution in Europe and western Asia. By combining four primer pairs and four restriction enzymes I identified nine cpDNA haplotypes with distinct geographical distributions. LÄS MER

Physiology of nonvascular plants; Systematisk botanik; taxonomi; morfologi; kemotaxonomi. Växters fysiologi inte kärlväxter .;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis I used allozymes and PCR-RFLP analysis of chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) to investigate geographic differentiation within the widespread Silene dioica (L.) Clairv. (Caryophyllaceae) and the narrowly-distributed S. hifacensis Rouy ex Willk. LÄS MER

Växters fysiologi inte kärlväxter .;

    Sammanfattning : Large-scale patterns of genetic variation in chloroplast (cp) and nuclear DNA in the widespread European herb species Silene latifolia and S. dioica were investigated using cpPCR-RFLPs, non-coding cpDNA sequences, AFLPs and sequences of the internal transcribed spacers (ITS) of nuclear ribosomal DNA (rDNA). 4. 4. Geographic Distribution of Intra-specific Variation in Widespread Eurasian boreo-nemoral Woodland Herbs

    Författare :Torbjörn Tyler; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; kemotaxonomi. Växters fysiologi inte kärlväxter .; Plant genetics; Växtgenetik; morfologi; chemotaxonomy. Physiology of nonvascular plants; Systematisk botanik; taxonomi; phytogeography; morphology; taxonomy; historical biogeography; Systematic botany; allozymes; population differentiation; postglacial migration; genetic variation; geographic variation;

    Sammanfattning : Many woodland plant species have huge distribution areas covering large parts of the Eurasian continent including areas that were glaciated during the last glacial period. In the present thesis, the geographic distribution of variation within such species is investigated and discussed in relation to glacial survival and post-glacial migration, dispersal ability, breeding system and levels of gene-flow between populations and related species, and various methods to measure and analyse genetic variation. 5. 5. Biochemical genetic variation, intraspecific genetic structure and postglacial evolution of select north European vertebrate species

    Författare :Ulf Gyllensten; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Evolution biologi ; Populationsgenetik;

    Sammanfattning : Analysis of the tempo and mode of intraspecific differentiation provides important information for understanding subspeciation, for construction of taxonomic hierarchies within a species and for management of genetic variation in natural populations.The present thesis describes the genetic structure of natural populations of willow grouse (Lagopus tagopus L.
