    Sammanfattning : Context: The shipping industry is undergoing a transitional phase at different levels, including IMO’s e-Navigation initiative, and with this comes the need to use a human-centred design (HCD) approach to avoid accidents linked to automation issues, and to cater for the maintenance of safety and efficiency within this global transport system. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the value and challenges in HCD practice and how ergonomics/human factors (E/HF) principles can be introduced, as well as what gaps and opportunities exist in current standard operations and technologies in navigation that can potentially be followed upon by future e-Navigation developments, not only from a technological perspective but also regulatory, operational etc. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Lean Transformation of Industrial Work : Understanding What Supports Socially Sustainable Working Conditions During Lean Manufacturing

    Författare :Malin Håkansson; Lotta Dellve; Teresia Nyman; Svend Erik Mathiassen; Per Sederblad; KTH; []

  3. 13. Developing an ergonomics intervention technique model to support the participatory ergonomics process for improving work systems in organizations in an industrially developing country and its ‘Meta-Reflection'

    Författare :Faramarz Helali; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial Work Environment; Industriell produktionsmiljö;

    Sammanfattning : The Ergonomics Intervention Programme (EIP) can be a means of guaranteeing the most efficient use of the labour force of an industrially developing country (IDC) by creating safe and appropriate working conditions. Many problems at work can be resolved with ergonomics intervention, but persist due to a lack of ergonomics awareness and ‘know-how', as well as poor social awareness in education. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Planning of Environments for People with Physical Disabilities Using Computer Aided Design

    Författare :Joakim Eriksson; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; manikin; Virtual Reality; CAD; computer aided design; 3D graphics; design tool; participatory planning; adaptation; Rehabilitation; disability; anthropometry; Technological sciences; magnetic resonance imaging; MRI; cervical spine kinematics; Teknik; biomechanics;

    Sammanfattning : In the area of environment adaptations for people with physical disabilities, it is of vital importance that the design is optimized considering the human-environment interactions. All involved persons in such a planning process must be given sufficient support in understanding the information, so that everyone can participate actively. LÄS MER
