  1. 21. Mixing patterns in Rushton-turbine-agitated reactors

    Författare :Fabrice Guillard; Livsmedelsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Food and drink technology; coherent mixing structure; geometrical analysis; dynamic structural analysis; conditional sampling; laser-induced fluorescence; mixing; stirred tank; Livsmedelsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This Ph.D. Thesis concerns the study of mixing in Rushton turbine agitated reactors. In industrial (bio)reactors, mixing is recognised as a limiting factor that significantly affects the performance of the process. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Towards optical diagnostics and control in aerotaxy semiconductor nanowire growth

    Författare :Per Samuelsson; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; nanoparticles; nanowires; aerotaxy; laser diagnostics; absorption; laser-induced fluorescence; photoluminescence; spark ablation; plasma; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Samuelsson;

    Sammanfattning : Aerosol growth of semiconductor nanowires has the potential to dramatically lower the cost of for solar cell production. The objective of the work was to study the growth of aerosol nanoparticles and nanowires, in order to understand the chemical and physical processes involved. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Laser diode systems for photodynamic therapy and medical diagnostics

    Författare :Eva Samsöe Andersen; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quasi-phasematching; photodynamic therapy; laser-induced fluorescence; medical laser systems.; Histology; cytochemistry; histochemistry; tissue culture; Histologi; Laserteknik; Laser technology; cytokemi; histokemi; vävnadskultur; Diagnostik; Diagnostics; second harmonic generation; pulsed lasers; spatial filtering; Diode lasers; optical feedback; Fysicumarkivet A:2004:Samsöe Andersen;

    Sammanfattning : This work concerns techniques for improvement of the coherence properties of diode lasers so that they may be used in two specific medical applications: (Interstitial) photodynamic therapy (PDT) and laser-induced fluorescence diagnostics. In the first application, spatial coherence is crucial, since the treatment light should be delivered through relatively thin optical fibers to optimize treatment and to facilitate minimally invasive treatment. 4. 24. Non-Invasive Monitoring of Architectural Heritage

    Författare :Jenny Hällström; Bebyggelsevård; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; remote sensing; lidar; laser-induced fluorescence; documentation; hyperspectral; non invasive; non destructive; sustainable maintenance; conservation planning; monitoring; Coliseum; architectural conservation; restoration; Övedskloster; deterioration; Lateran Baptistery; stone; brick; thematic mapping; in situ; imaging; biodeteriogens;

    Sammanfattning : The on-site documentation and examination of architectural heritage has presented challenges for traditional analysis methods in the form of, among other things, large complex structures, sites and environmental conditions. In recent years there has been growing interest in assessing progressing deterioration processes and material analysis, with an emphasis on sustainable conservation and maintenance planning. LÄS MER

  5. 25. High Repetition Rate Laser Diagnostics for Combustion Applications

    Författare :Johan Sjöholm; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spray; diesel; optical engine; simultaneous; laser-induced fluorescence; fuel tracer; SLIPI; Raman; LII; laser diagnostic; combustion; high repetition rate; high-speed; PLIF; multi-YAG; LIF; fuel jet; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Sjöholm;

    Sammanfattning : High repetition rate laser diagnostics has proven to be a useful tool for studying combustion phenomena. Laser techniques are, in general, relatively non-intrusive and have the potential to measure specific species at very low concentrations and with extremely high temporal resolution. LÄS MER
