11. Exploring non-functional requirements in Digital Product-Service System design : Challenges for manufacturing firms
Sammanfattning : The increased sophistication of customer needs pushes manufacturers toward integrated offerings where physical products and intangible services collaboratively generate value, also known as Product-Service Systems (PSS). This shifts the focal point from product performance to overall system functionality. LÄS MER
12. Quality Inspection and Evaluation of Smart or Functional Textile Fabric Surface by Skin Contact Mechanics
Sammanfattning : The rapid progress in consuming e-textiles has made a huge uprising in the researcher’s track on the course of smart and functional textile development. Consumption of functional and smart textiles in the wearable e-textile is fetching extra eye-catching scheme owing to its lightweight property, flexibility, stretchability, and the ability to be integrated into wearable apparel. 13. Caloramator Boliviensis, a New Thermoanaerobe with Interesting Metabolic Properties
Sammanfattning : A novel ethanol-producing thermoanaerobe Caloramator boliviensis 45BT (=DSM 22065T, =CCUG 57396T) was isolated from a hot spring of the Bolivian highlands. C. LÄS MER
14. Functional and Flexible Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells
Sammanfattning : The introduction of artificial illumination has brought extensive benefits to mankind, and during the last years we have seen a tremendous progress in this field with the introduction of the energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) and the high-contrast organic LED display. These high-end technologies are, however, produced using costly and complex processes, and it is anticipated that the next big thing in the field will be the advent of a low-cost and “green” illumination technology, which can be fabricated in a cost- and material-efficient manner using non-toxic and abundant raw materials, and which features attractive form factors such as flexibility, robustness and light-weight. 15. 3D printing of polymers onto textiles : An innovative approach to develop functional textiles
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at characterizing tridimensional (3D) printed polymers onto PET textile materials via fused deposition modeling (FDM) that uses both non-conductive and conductive polymers, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties through statistical modeling and enhancing them with pre and post-treatments and the development of polymer blends. This research work supports the development of technical textiles through 3D printing that may have functionalities. LÄS MER
