1. Towards the design of flexibility management in smart grids : A techno-institutional perspective
Sammanfattning : The European policy focus on smart grids implies their development as an indispensable part of the future power system. However, the definition of a smart grid is broad and vague, and the actual implementation of a smart grid can differ significantly, depending on the stakeholders involved. LÄS MER
2. Strategies, Methods and Tools for Solving Long-term Transmission Expansion Planning in Large-scale Power Systems
Sammanfattning : Driven by a number of factors, the electric power industry is expected to undergo a paradigm shift with a considerably increased level of variable energy sources. A significant integration of such sources requires heavy transmission investments over geographically wide and large-scale networks. LÄS MER
3. Integrated Community Energy Systems
Sammanfattning : Energy systems across the globe are going through a radical transformation as a result of technological and institutional changes, depletion of fossil fuel resources, and climate change. Accordingly, local energy initiatives are emerging and increasing number of the business models are focusing on the end-users. LÄS MER
4. On Gate Drivers for MOS-Controlled Power Devices and dv-dt Filters for Train Traction Converters
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, low-loss gate-drive solutions and a proposed dv/dt-filter have been investigated with focus on train traction converters with dv/dt constraints.By using the silicon carbide (SiC) junction field-effect transistor (JFET), the switching losses can be significantly reduced compared to the commonly used insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), but complex gate-driver solutions are required for high utilization in terms of loss reduction. 5. Maktutövning ur ett organisations- och genusperspektiv. En studie vid tre vårdavdelningar
Sammanfattning : The primary aim of the present thesis is to increase understandig of the relationship between organisational structure, gender and power. Understanding of this relationship requires a closeness to the individual being studied as well to the content and consequences of that individuals´actions. LÄS MER
