11. Dielectric properties of poly(ethyelene-co-butyl acrylate) filled with Alumina nanoparticles
Sammanfattning : In this work dielectric properties of the poly(ethylene-co-butyl acrylate)filled with alumina nanoparticles are evaluated. These nanocomposite materialswere manufactured at the department of Fibre and Polymer Technology,KTH.This study is limited to the properties of general importance for the AC applications. LÄS MER
12. On Deep Machine Learning Based Techniques for Electric Power Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis provides deep machine learning-based solutions to real-time mitigation of power quality disturbances such as flicker, voltage dips, frequency deviations, harmonics, and interharmonics using active power filters (APF). In an APF the processing delays reduce the performance when the disturbance to be mitigated is tima varying. LÄS MER
13. Characterising Resistance to Electrical Treeing in New XLPE-Based Materials for High-Voltage Cables
Sammanfattning : This work looks into electrical treeing in cross-linked polyethylene-based materials (XLPE), where the ability to resist tree development is considered as an indicator of improved applicability for insulation in high voltage power cables. The thesis presents results of a twin PhD project involving joint work of two students. LÄS MER
14. Measurement and Analysis of Partial Discharges at Semi-Square Voltages
Sammanfattning : Insulation is today being exposed to voltages having considerably higher frequency components than the conventional power frequency AC 50 Hz or 60 Hz, for example in motors supplied by adjustable speed drives based on pulse width modulated converters. This has in many cases caused unexpected behaviour of the insulation systems. LÄS MER
15. Partial discharges studied by dielectric response method
Sammanfattning : The increasing demand of integrating various renewable energy recourses in power system requires extensive use of power electronic solutions, which allows energy conversion between different frequencies and stabilizes the system. Consequently, other than the traditional 50/60 Hz sinusoidal voltage stresses act on the high voltage insulation systems. LÄS MER
