    Författare :Tony Lindeberg; Jan-Olof Eklundh; Jan. J Koenderink; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer vision; low-level processing; scale-space; diffusion; Gaussian filtering; discrete smoothing; primal sketch; segmentation; descriptive elements; scale detection; image structure; focus-of-attention; tuning low-level processing; blob detection; edge detection; edge focusing; histogram analysis; junction classification; perceptual grouping; texture analysis; critical points; classification of blob events; bifurcations; drift velocity; density of local extrema; multi-scale representation; digital signal processing; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis, within the subfield of computer science known as computer vision, deals with the use of scale-space analysis in early low-level processing of visual information. The main contributions comprise the following five subjects:The formulation of a scale-space theory for discrete signals. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Formal Approaches to Service-oriented Design : From Behavioral Modeling to Service Analysis

    Författare :Aida Čaušević; Paul Pettersson; Jonathan P. Bowen; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; service-oriented software engineering; formal modeling; service-oriented systems; resources; analysis; behavior; correctness check; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Service-oriented systems (SOS) have recently emerged as context-independent component-based systems. In contrast to components, services can be created, invoked, composed and destroyed at run-time. Services are assumed to be platform independent and available for use within heterogeneous applications. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Parallelized Program Analysis

    Författare :Marcus Edvinsson; Welf Löwe; Uwe Aßmann; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a framework for parallelized program analysis. It uses available parallel processing power in standard desktop computers to speed up static program analysis.Today, processor chip manufacturers produce single processor chips containing multiple cores, each with a processing power of previous single-core processors. 4. 14. Multi-LSTM Acceleration and CNN Fault Tolerance

    Författare :Stefano Ribes; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Compression; SVD; LSTMs; CNNs; Fault Tolerance; Machine Learning; FPGA; Roofline Model; HLS; Caffe;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the following two problems related to the field of Machine Learning: the acceleration of multiple Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) models on FPGAs and the fault tolerance of compressed Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). LSTMs represent an effective solution to capture long-term dependencies in sequential data, like sentences in Natural Language Processing applications, video frames in Scene Labeling tasks or temporal series in Time Series Forecasting. 5. 15. Data stream processing meets the Advanced Metering Infrastructure: possibilities, challenges and applications

    Författare :Joris Van Rooij; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Data stream processing; Advanced Metering Infrastructure;

    Sammanfattning : Distribution of electricity is changing. Energy production is increasingly distributed, weather dependent and located in the distribution network, close to consumers. Energy consumption is increasing throughout society and the electrification of transportation is driving distribution networks closer to the limits. LÄS MER
