The aim is to provide a transdisciplinary explanatory model of the transaction between text and reader during the reading process resulting in the reader experiencing a mental, virtual world. It aims to show that embodiment defines Thomas’s writing both stylistically and thematically, and that Thomas’s body metaphors are essentially founded on the biblical myths of creation and the Fall.
