    Sammanfattning : Concrete reinforced with conventional steel is one of the most commonly used building materials, yet it has historically shown disadvantages in terms of durability and vulnerability to corrosion attack. Various remedial methods have been applied to overcome the shortcomings of this building material, such as increasing the concrete cover, which, however, leads to an increased self-weight of the structure.     Sammanfattning : The Dala Sandstone, of Proterozoic age, is the most extensive sedimentary unit in central Sweden. The rocks are quartz sandstones, lithic sandstones, feldspathic sandstones, arkoses and greywackes with intercalations of shales and siltstones less than 1 m thick.     Sammanfattning : The Notträsk intrusive body is an early Proterozoic layered mafic intrusion probably of lopolithic form. It intrudes metasedimentary gneisses and shows the characteristics of Precambrian plutons which are contemporaneous with intercratonic tholeiitic volcanism; it represents the cumulates of a crustal-level magma chamber that may have been the source of basaltic volcanism in the area.
