  1. 1. Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis : Postural Stability, Prognostic factors and Impact of Conservative Treatments on Radiologic, Clinical and Self-Reported Outcomes

    Författare :Marlene Dufvenberg; Allan Abbott; Birgitta Öberg; Paul Gerdhem; Hans Tropp; Josefine Naili; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Idiopathic Scoliosis; Postural stability; Spinal Appearance; Health-Related Quality of Life; Adherence; Physical Activity; Brace; Scoliosis-Specific Exercise; Prognosis; Survival Models;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a three-dimensional distortion of spinal curvature of unknown cause that develops during puberty. If the frontal plane curvature exceeds a Cobb angle of 24°, full-time bracing is recommended to prevent curve progression, negative health consequences or need for surgery. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Scoliosis in cerebral palsy

    Författare :Katina Pettersson; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cerebral pares; scoliosis; Risk factors; Braces; CPCHILD; RELIABILITY; Validity; CHILDREN; Adults;

    Sammanfattning : BackgroundIndividuals with cerebral palsy (CP) have an increased risk for scoliosis, especially those with low gross motor function, affecting both quality of life and overall function. The aims were to increase the knowledge on the development of, and predictors for scoliosis and the use of spinal orthoses in individuals with CP, and also to evaluate the Caregiver Priorities and Child Health Index of Life with Disabilities (CPCHILD) questionnaire to examine health-related quality of life (HRQoL).
