21. Process Intensification through Acoustic and Hydrodynamic Cavitation
Sammanfattning : Process industries are cornerstones in today’s industrialized world. They contribute significantly to the development of diverse commodities and materials that are used in our daily lives. Process intensification is an approach implemented to boost manufacturing efficiency and capacities in a more sustainable and energy efficient way. LÄS MER
22. Mass Spectrometry with Electrospray Ionization from an Adjustable Gap
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the fabrication and analytical evaluation of two new electrospray emitters utilized for mass spectrometry analysis is presented. The emitters are based on a new concept, where the spray orifice can be varied in size. The thesis is based on two papers. All present-day nanoelectrospray emitters have fixed dimensions. LÄS MER
23. On modelling and simulation of the human cardiovascular system : with special reference to aortic coarctation and mitral regurgitation
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the method of identification has been proposed for interpreting data obatined from pressure measurement on patients with aortic coarctation. In order to investigate its charcteristics and applicability the algortithm for identification was initially tested using a simple model of the human cardiovascular system. LÄS MER
24. Experimental Studies of Turbulent Mixing in Impinging Jets
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the experimental study of mixing and flow characteristic in turbulent circular impinging jets without and with jet orifice manipulators (i.e. passive-fixed perturbations atthe nozzle exit), without and with swirl. LÄS MER
25. Control Strategy for Energy Efficient Fluid Power Actuators : Utilizing Individual Metering
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a solution enabling lower losses in hydraulic actuator systems. A mobile fluid power system often contains several different actuators supplied with a single load sensing pump. One of the main advantages is the need of only one system pump. This makes the fluid power system compact and cost-effective. LÄS MER
