2. Mathematical Modelling of Insulin Signalling : Effects on Glucose Metabolism in Skeletal Muscle
Sammanfattning : The use of models to understand complex phenomena is indispensable to the scientific community. The advantage of a model is that it simplifies the phenomena under study. However, a model should be only as complex as required, no more, no less. LÄS MER
3. Physical exposure, musculoskeletal symptoms and attitudes related to ICT use

4. Late Eocene through Oligocene calcareous nannofossils from the paleo-equatorial Pacific Ocean – taxonomy, preservation history, biochronology and evolution
Sammanfattning : This study aims to unravel the ecological and evolutionary dynamics within the calcareous nannofossil communities at the Eocene/Oligocene (E/O) transition and during the Oligocene time when Cenozoic 'icehouse' conditions were established. The main question this study aims to answer is whether the changes in the nannofossil assemblages were controlled by intrinsic evolutionary trends or if the changes were controlled by environmental factors such as changes in temperature and nutrient availability in the surface water. 5. Radiological studies of LMNB1-related autosomal dominant leukodystrophy and Marinesco-Sjögren syndrome
Sammanfattning : There are approximately 6000 to 8000 rare diseases, each with a prevalence of less than 1 / 10 000, but in aggregate affecting 6 to 8% of the population. It is important to evaluate disease development and progression to know the natural course of any disease. LÄS MER
