    Sammanfattning : In this study the guidelines of the League of Nations, UNESCO and the Council of Europe are investigated in relation to Swedish national curricula, teachers’ perceptions of and students’ work in history, from 1927 to 2002.Inspired by John I Goodlad’s notions of curricula and implementation, the formulation of history is studied.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to investigate interculturality in history as an idea and practice. Two overarching research questions are raised, each concerning the theoretical and practical levels: How can history, as a field of knowledge and teaching, be related to intercultural learning as a normative practice? What obstacles and opportunities for teaching and learning emerge when intercultural historical learning is the goal? This thesis comprises four published studies. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In 1991, a diplomatic controversy arose between Greece and the newly independent Republic of Macedonia, regarding naming, minority rights and the use of historical symbols. The claims of the new state to the name Macedonia and the historical heritage associated with it were perceived as a threat against Greek national identity and history itself. LÄS MER

It poses the question how the concept of authenticity is used in relation to wargames portrayal of war, masculinity and history.
