  1. 1. Shorelines of adaptation and fields of innovation : Emerging sustainability transformations in sea-level rise planning and the food system

    Författare :Jacob von Oelreich; Rebecka Milestad; Åsa Svenfelt; Madeleine Granvik; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis builds on the understanding that there is an urgent need for radical and systemic transformations towards sustainability in all parts of society, since current socio-ecological relations are highly unsustainable. The aim of the thesis is to explore emerging societal transformations towards strengthened sustainability through case studies within planning for sea-level rise and the food system, respectively. 2. 2. Generation of magnetic fields in plasmas

    Författare :Nitin Shukla; Gert Brodin; Dusan Jovanovic; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Relativistic and non-relativistic plasma outflows are quite ubiquitous in astrophysical scenarios, as well as in laboratory plasmas. The propagation of relativistic and non- relativistic charged particle beams in background plasmas provides return currents in the opposite direction and interactions between the currents then drive several plasma instabilities involving the longitudinal (electrostatic instabilities) and trans- verse (electromagnetic instability) modes. 3. 3. Marketing fads and fashions - exploring digital marketing practices and emerging organisational fields

    Författare :Christofer Pihl; Göteborg University Business and Law School of Economics; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Social media; fashion; marketing practices; institutional entrepreneurship;

    Sammanfattning : The use of social media such as blogs has grown remarkably in Sweden during recent years. The largest segment of blogs consists of fashion blogs, i.e. blogs that focus on fashion brands, fashion products and fashion e-commerce. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Aspirants : How faith is built in emerging occupations

    Författare :Rebecca Ye; Charlotta Stern; Mikaela Sundberg; Phillip Brown; Stockholms universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Anticipating future demands in skills and workforce development has been a longstanding practice and challenge for governments and policy-makers. While such developments are examined closely at the national and regional levels, an even more pressing issue is to advance our understanding of how people who take on jobs in new and emerging fields embark on and persist in their occupational pathways. Sammanfattning : Today’s digitalized society relies on the advancement of silicon (Si) Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, but the limitations of down-scaling and the rapidly increasing demand for added functionality that is not easily achieved in Si, have pushed efforts to monolithically 3D-integrate III-V devices above the Si-CMOS technology. In addition, the demand for increased computational power and handling of vast amounts of data is rapidly increasing. LÄS MER
