  1. 11. Simulation-based multi-objective optimization of productivity and worker well-being

    Författare :Aitor Iriondo Pascual; Anna Syberfeldt; Dan Högberg; Erik Brolin; Johan Ölvander; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ergonomics; Productivity; Optimization; Simulation; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign; VF-KDO; VF-KDO;

    Sammanfattning : In industry, simulation software is used to simulate production, making it possible to predict events in production, calculate times and plan production, even in the early phases of the production development process. Software known as digital human modelling (DHM) tools can also be used to simulate humans working in production. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Effects of dissolved humic matter on phytoplankton

    Författare :Jessica von Einem; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; phytoplankton; PAR; DOC; Water colour; production;

    Sammanfattning : Water colour is currently increasing in thousands of lakes in the northern hemisphere due to an increased input of terrestrial dissolved organic carbon (DOC), and more specifically coloured disscolved humic matter (DHM). I studied how water colour affects the light climate in the epilimnion and, as a consequence, phytoplankton biomass, species composition and production in lakes in southern Sweden. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Designing Healing. A Conceptual Model for Promoting a Healing Health Care Environment in Tanzania

    Författare :Moses Mkony; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; healthcare facilities; system analysis approach; matrix design; Healing environment; vernacular architecture; cultural system.; sociality;

    Sammanfattning : Better health services are a basic human right of approximately 40 million people in Tanzania, calling for an improved architecture of Health Care Facilities (HCFs) so as to provide a healing health care environment that supports wellness as well as diagnosis and treatment. Healing design concepts of medical and architectural researchers are in line with life styles, contemporary architectural styles and social cultural systems in the western world, while in Tanzania, although cultural heritage is emphasized as the backbone of sustainable development, very little effort has been made to incorporate cultural elements and vernacular architecture into contemporary HCF designs.
