    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; multi element analysis; trace element; ICP-AES; inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectromtery; water analysis; liver analysis; non digested samples; medical samples; biological samples; samples from biopsies and autopsies; mice organ; fast analysis; internal standard; preconcentration; matrix elimination; Cu; Zn; Mn; Co; Pb; Cd; Mg; Ca; Fe; Ni; Cr; S; P; K; Al; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes two different sample preparation strategies for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), and their ability regarding multi element quantification in complex samples. Sensitivity, repeatability, reproducibility and accuracy were investigated. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Adaptive time-integration for goal-oriented and coupled problems

    Författare :Peter Meisrimel; Numerisk analys; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; time-adaptivity; goal-oriented problems; error estimation; coupled problems; waveform relaxation; asynchronous methods; conjugate heat transfer;

    Sammanfattning : We consider efficient methods for the partitioned time-integration of multiphysics problems, which commonly exhibit a multiscale behavior, requiring independent time-grids. Examples are fluid structure interaction in e.g., the simulation of blood-flow or cooling of rocket engines, or ocean-atmosphere-vegetation interaction. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometry for Speciation Analysis : Development and Applications

    Författare :Niklas Forsgard; Jean Pettersson; Marit Andersson; Jonas Bergquist; Walter Lund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Analytical chemistry; Speciation analysis; Atomic emission spectrometry AES ; Mass spectrometry MS ; Inductively coupled plasma ICP ; Liquid Chromatography LC ; on-line sample pre-treatment; Organic phosphour; Siderophores; Slurry nebulization; matrix effects; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In analytical chemistry the main goal is normally to determine the identity and/or concentration of one or more species in a sample. The samples analyzed are often natural samples, containing numerous different species in a complex matrix and the choice of technique for multi-elemental detection is in general inductively coupled plasma spectrometry. 4. 4. Numerical Analysis of Evolution Problems in Multiphysics

    Författare :Anna Persson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; regularity; generalized finite element; localized orthogonal decomposition; multiscale; finite element method; Thermoelasticity; Riccati equations; thermistor; linear elasticity; Joule heating; parabolic equations; Regularity; generalized finite element; localized orthogonal decomposition; multiscale finite element method; Thermoelasticity; Riccati equations; thermistor; linear elasticity; Joule heating; parabolic equations;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study numerical methods for evolution problems in multiphysics. The term multiphysics is commonly used to describe physical phenomena that involve several interacting models. Typically, such problems result in coupled systems of partial differential equations. 5. 5. Error analysis of summation-by-parts formulations : Dispersion, transmission and accuracy

    Författare :Viktor Linders; Jan Nordström; Marco Kupiainen; Mark Carpenter; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we consider errors arising from finite difference operators on summation-by-parts (SBP) form, used in the discretisation of partial differential equations. The SBP operators are augmented with simultaneous-approximation-terms (SATs) to weakly impose boundary conditions. LÄS MER
