  1. 1. Implantation : morphological and biochemical characterization of the receptive human endometrium

    Författare :Anneli Stavréus-Evers; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Our knowledge of the human implantation process, and the role of the endometrium. during this process, is very scarce. The endometrium is only receptive for implantation during a limited period, the so-called implantation window, after which it becomes refractory to the blastocyst. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Effects of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals on Human Endometrial Endothelial Cells In Vitro

    Författare :Malin Helmestam; Matts Olovsson; Anneli Stavreus-Evers; Yvonne Lundberg Giwercman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; endocrine disrupting chemicals; hormones; human endometrial endothelial cells; endometrium; estrogen; progesterone; cadmium; tamoxifen; mifepristone; bisphenol A; angiogenesis; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Evidence from an abundant number of studies suggests that human female reproductive functions have become impaired over the past half century and that there might be a relationship between endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and reduced fertility. It is, however, not known by what mechanisms EDCs affect different reproductive functions such as endometrial receptivity, embryo implantation and placentation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Experiences of Miscarriage

    Författare :Caroline Jansson; Anneli Stavreus-Evers; Ingela Rådestad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Miscarriage; spontaneous abortion; missed abortion; pregnancy loss; gender; measurement; emotion; care; stress; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Experiences are unique and both men and women experience grief, anxiety, depressive symptoms after a miscarriage.The overall aim was to describe and measure experiences among women and men after a miscarriage. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Human Endometrium : Studies on Angiogenesis and Endometriosis

    Författare :Christian Moberg; Matts Olovsson; Anneli Stavreus-Evers; Lalit Kumar Parameswaran Grace; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; endometrium; angiogenesis; endothelial cell; endometriosis; receptivity; implantation; oestrogen receptor; progesterone receptor; crystallin; interleukin; vasoactive intestinal peptide; peritoneal fluid; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : Angiogenesis is thought to play a pivotal role in the cycling endometrium. Coordinated by oestrogen and progesterone, endometrial blood vessel development is primarily mediated by vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A), which promotes endothelial cell (EC) proliferation and protects ECs from induced apoptosis. 5. 5. Folate, Hormones and Infertility : Different factors affecting IVF pregnancy outcome

    Författare :Tiina Murto; Anneli Stavreus-Evers; Agneta Skoog Svanberg; Sven-Eric Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Folate; folic acid supplement; homocysteine; hormones; infertility; IVF; lifestyle factor; MTHFR; predictive value; socioeconomic factor; women; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : Various hormones have been studied as regards prediction of pregnancy outcome after infertility treatment, but no ideal candidate has been found. Folate and genetic variations in folate metabolism have also been associated with infertility, but it remains unclear how these factors affect IVF pregnancy outcome. LÄS MER
