11. Acoustical properties of earplugs
Sammanfattning : In this study an experimental setup for measurements of high impedance objects in ducts, yielding the acoustical Two-Port properties of the object, is applied to earplugs. A frequently used experimental setup for measuring objective acoustical properties of earplugs is that of artificial ears. Great effort is spent on duplicating the human ear. LÄS MER
12. Analyses of Spur and Helical Gears
Sammanfattning : The thesis contains three papers that comprise studies of the dynamic behaviour of involute spur and helical gears, and one paper that describes a method to determine the influence of misalignment on the static helical gear tooth stress. In the first study, the influence of the contact ratio on the dynamic response of a spur gear was examined. LÄS MER
13. Plasticity Driven Damage and Void Growth
Sammanfattning : Plasticity induced damage evolution is considered using a thermodynamical approach. Different postulates on how to include the effects of damage in the constitutive equations have been studied. The results reveal that a mapping, similar to that of the stress, of both the kinematic and isotropic hardening variables is to be preferred. LÄS MER
14. Mechanical Analysis of Lubrication and Lubricants
Sammanfattning : This thesis comprises three different topics within the field of tribology. First, design functions for analyses of slider bearings are developed. Second, a lubricant model applied to elastohydrodynamically lubricated (EHL) line contacts considering wall-slip is presented. LÄS MER
15. On Contact Mechanisms and Mechanical Transmission Performance
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers, which treat the modelling of a spur gear set and a disc brake, and the interaction between the machine elements. Features of the performance are studied in relation to the initial stated assumptions. LÄS MER
