    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gas Turbine; Intercooled; Recuperated; Turbofan; Future; Simulation; Performance; Aircraft; Emissions; Multi-disciplinary; Jet Engine; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes various aspects of the development of a multi-disciplinary aero engine conceptual design tool, TERA2020 (Techno-economic, Environmental and Risk Assessment for 2020), based on an explicit algorithm that considers: engine performance, engine aerodynamic and mechanical design, aircraft design and performance, emissions prediction and environmental impact, engine and airframe noise, and production, maintenance and direct operating costs.As part of this research effort, a newly-derived semi-empirical NOx correlation for modern rich-burn single-annular combustors is proposed. 2. 2. Survival Estimation for Opportunistic Maintenance

    Författare :Johan Svensson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; non-stationary renewal process; non-homogeneous Poisson process; survival; optimal maintenance; discretization; points of support; crack growth; discretization;

    Sammanfattning : The problem of rational maintenance of aircraft engines is studied with respect to the influence of random events. Aircraft engines can be more economically maintained and resources can be saved if the maintenance process is improved. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Improved remaining useful life estimations for on-condition parts in aircraft engines

    Författare :Veronica Fornlöf; Anna Syberfeldt; Anders Skoogh; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Aircraft engine maintenance; Reliability; Remaining useful life; On-condition parts; Prognosis; Technology; Teknik; Production and Automation Engineering; Produktion och automatiseringsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on obtaining better estimates of remaining life for on-condition (OC) parts in aircraft engines. Aircraft engine components are commonly classified into three categories, life-limited parts (LLP), OC-parts and consumables. Engine maintenance typi-cally accounts for 10% to 20% of aircraft-related operating cost. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optimization of Geometric Robustness of Aero Structures in Early Design Phases

    Författare :Anders Forslund; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Geometry Assurance; Uncertainty Quantification; Robust Design; Simulation; Geometric Variation;

    Sammanfattning : Every manufactured product is different. This variation can be detrimental to quality and product functionality. In an aerospace context, this variation may even result in serious threats to the safety and reliability of aircraft. However, it is not the variation itself that is harmful, but the effects it has on functionality. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Customer-perceived Value in Business Relationships

    Författare :Catarina Bovik; Per Norling; Christian Berggren; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Customer-perceived value; Total service offering; Business-to-business relationship; Commercial aircraft engine maintenance industry; Case study; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; Business Administration; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The content of customer-perceived value has in this study been explored with the aim of providing an understanding of the concept. The evolving service-centered logic for marketing puts an emphasis on value, especially the value perceived and determined by the customer. LÄS MER
