  1. 1. On the Formation of Supported Phospholipid Bilayers

    Författare :Erik Reimhult; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; vesicle adsorption; formation kinetics; SPR; QCM-D; SPB; AFM; supported lipid bilayer; supported membrane; liposome;

    Sammanfattning : Lipid bilayers are a central component of both the structure and function of biological membranes, like the one surrounding cells of living organisms. Since the lipid bilayer provides a host matrix for membrane proteins, which perform many of the specialized tasks in cells like energy, signal and material transduction, researchers have tried to develop artificial model membranes to study a variety of membrane protein functions. 2. 2. Timber Pile-Supported Embankments : Arching and Reinforcement

    Författare :Per Gunnvard; Jan Laue; Hans Mattsson; Qi Jia; Luc Thorel; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; timber piles; piled embankment; geosynthetic reinforcement; geosynthetic-reinforced pile-supported embankment; arching; finite element method; full-scale test; Geoteknik; Soil Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Reduced climate impact is a worldwide strive today. The foundation engineering industry is continuously searching for more sustainable solutions to reduce resource usage and pollutions directly or indirectly. One such solution is timber piling, as an alternative to the commonly used concrete and steel piles. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Supported employment i en svensk kontext : förutsättningarnär personer med funktionsnedsättning når,får och behåller ett arbete

    Författare :Johanna Gustafsson; Berth Danermark; Julia Peralta; Stig Larsson; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; supported employment; people with disabilities; vocational rehabilitation; employment; social inclusion; trust; Handikappvetenskap; Disability Research;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to discover, to value and to explain, if and why Supported Employment functions in a Swedish context and to also highlight those mechanisms which provide meaningful conditions within that context, when a person with a disability reaches, procures and retains employment. The empirical part consists of four studies that examine (1) whether SE has an effect on the employment rate, disposable income and sum of allowances, (2) the employer´s perspective of employing people with disabilities, (3) how employers perceive support from SE in the employment process and (4) how employees with disabilities perceive their work situation and social inclusion in the workplace. 4. 4. IT-supported Knowledge Repositories : Increasing their Usefulness by Supporting Knowledge Capture

    Författare :Lena Aggestam; Benkt Wangler; Anne Persson; Murray Jennex; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap; Computer science; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Organizations use various resources to achieve business objectives, and for financial gain. In modern business, knowledge is a critical resource, and organizations cannot afford not to manage it. Knowledge Management (KM) aims to support learning and to create value for the organization. 5. 5. Mesoporous supported lipid bilayers

    Författare :Maria Claesson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; FRAP; Lipid bilayer; Mesoporous; AFM; Vesicle; Titania; Silica; QCM-D;

    Sammanfattning : AbstractLipid bilayers are commonly used as simplified model systems of living cell membranes. They have shown to be important components in the development of biosensing devices where the bilayer acts as a host for transmembrane proteins, such as ion channels, that are utilized as sensing elements.
