11. Development of Palladium-Catalyzed Transformations Involving η1-Allypalladium Species
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on investigation of the structure, reactivity and isomerization reactions of η1-allylpalladium complexes, which are key intermediates in catalytic transformations. The first part of this thesis concerns the structure and reactivity of bis-allylpalladium complexes. LÄS MER
12. Palladium-catalyzed C-H functionalization of alkenes under oxidative conditions
Sammanfattning : The unique properties of high oxidation state palladium have been used to develop new catalytic alkene C-H functionalization reactions. A Heck-type coupling based on the reactivity of palladium catalysts and diaryliodonium salts has been developed with broad synthetic scope and tolerance for functional groups that are ordinarily reactive in Pd0/PdII catalysis, for example, allylic acetates and aryl bromides. 13. Palladium-catalyzed Allylic C-H and C-OH Functionalization. Reactions of the Obtained Allylboronic Acids
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on the studies of two major transformations. The first transformation deals with the development of palladium-catalyzed selective allylic trifluoroacetoxylation reactions based on C-H functionalization, whereas the second comprises the synthesis and isolation of allylboronic acids using diboronic acid B2(OH)4 as boron source. 14. Palladium(II)-Catalyzed Heck Reactions : Domino Reactions, Decarboxylations, Mechanistic Studies & Continuous Flow Applications
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes research efforts dedicated to the development of palladium(II)-catalyzed oxidative Heck and Heck/Suzuki domino reactions, and the applications of a new microwave heating technology, purpose-built for continuous flow in organic synthesis.Paper I describes the development of a ligand-modulated approach for attaching aryl groups to a chelating vinyl ether. 15. Catalytic Stereoselective Formation of C–O, C–C and C–B Bonds : A Voyage from Asymmetric Reactions Enabled by Lipases to Stereoselective Palladium-Catalyzed Oxidative Transformations of Enallenes
Sammanfattning : This thesis has been focused on enzymatic kinetic resolutions and stereoselective oxidative transformations of enallenes catalyzed by PdII.In the first part of the thesis, a detailed discussion on Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB)-catalyzed kinetic resolution (KR) of δ-functionalized alkan-2-acetates is shown.
