    Sammanfattning : Multi-objective optimization involves the simultaneous optimization of several objective functions. In real-world problems, these objectives are often in conflict, giving rise to trade-offs in the optimal solutions from the optimization process. All these solutions are equally viable, with no single solution being better or worse than the others. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Sustainable Energy Access for All : Initial tools to compare technology options and costs

    Författare :Francesco Fuso Nerini; Mark Howells; Hisham Zerriffi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents analytical advances to support quantitative insights into national and local policies for achieving energy access goals. The key objective is the creation of an analytical tool to compare technology options for achieving energy access goals and to estimate the cost of reaching those goals. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Sustainability performance of blue-green infrastructure across seasons and with various designs

    Författare :Pär Sagrelius; Godecke-Tobias Blecken; Maria Viklander; Erik Glaas; Luleå tekniska universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) affect societal development within multiple sectors, both strategically and at street level. For instance, SDG 6 and SDG 11 have contributed to a shift in urban stormwater management that has traditionally been pipe-based, including only control of runoff volumes, to a more multi-functional nature-based blue-green infrastructure (BGI), where"blue" areas are characterized by (temporarily or permanent) open water and "green" areas by vegetative systems.
