6. LIPASES AND PHOSPHOLIPASES IN PHOSPHOLIPID SYNTHESIS
Sammanfattning : The synthesis of phospholipids with defined fatty acid and polar head composition catalysed by lipases and phospholipases was investigated. Lipases from Rhizopus arrhizus and Candida antarctica were used for the direct acylation of DL-a-glycerophosphate and L-a-glycerophosphatidylcholine, with different fatty acids. LÄS MER
7. Separation of peptides by capillary electrophoresis : Application of chemometrics for evaluation of separation performance in micellar electrokinetic chromatography
Sammanfattning : The separation of enkephalin-related peptides and protein kinase A peptide substrates werestudied in micellar electrokinetic chromatography and compared with capillary zoneelectrophoresis. Special interest was focused on systems where the electroosmosis wasreversed in combination with neutral micellar agents. LÄS MER
8. Adsorption Properties of Triblock Copolymers at Solid Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The interfacial behaviour of nonionic triblock copolymers of the type poly(ethylene oxide-tetrahydrofurane-ethylene oxide) has been systematically examined at different types of surfaces. It is shown how the chemical nature of the substrate greatly influences the adsorption behaviour of block copolymers. LÄS MER
9. The Co-Structure Directing Agent (CSDA) Approach to Mesoporous Silica Formation – Exploring the Assembly Characteristics
Sammanfattning : We investigate the formation mechanism responsible for two specific systems of mesoporous silicas formed with the so-called co-structure directing agent (CSDA) route. The synthesis relies on the interactions between silica source (tetraethylorthosilicate, TEOS), surfactants and CSDA. LÄS MER
10. Interfacial behaviour of surfactants and enzymes: studies at model surfaces
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents results from experimental studies of the interfacial behaviour of surfactants and enzymes at model surfaces. The main technique used throughout the work was ellipsometry. LÄS MER
