  1. 1. Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation in Micellar Solution and Lyotropic Liquid Crystals. Tools and Applications

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Kemi

    Författare :Ruslan Sitnikov; KTH.; [2000]
    Nyckelord :NMR; NMR relaxation dispersion; NMR spectrometer; low NMR frequencies; NMR duplexer; NMR preamplifier; NMR lock; surfactant systems; micellar solutions; lyotropic liquid crystals; cubic mesophase;

    Sammanfattning : Structurally, this Thesis is divided into two parts thatdescribe (i) the hardware development for NMR relaxationstudies and (ii) its applications for studies of the surfactantsystems.The developed hardware solutions allow to expand thefrequency range covered by conventional NMR spectrometers tomake NMR experiments feasible at resonance frequencies down to100 kHz. 2. 2. NMR Studies of Colloidal Systems in and out of Equilibrium

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH

    Författare :Pavel V. Yushmanov; KTH.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; stopped-flow NMR; temperature-jump NMR; crossrelaxation; NMR; NMR probe; fluorosurfactant; micellar kinetics; micellar structure; NATURAL SCIENCES Chemistry Physical chemistry; NATURVETENSKAP Kemi Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The Thesis describes (i) the development of add-on instrumentation extending the capabilities of conventional NMR spectrometers and (ii) the application of the designed equipments and techniques for investigating various colloidal systems. The new equipments are:Novel designs of stopped-flow and temperature–jump inserts intended for conventional Bruker wide-bore superconductive magnets. LÄS MER

  3. 3. NMR Diffusometry and Dynamic NMR Microscopy Studies of Colloidal Systems

    Detta är en avhandling från Chalmers University of Technology

    Författare :Helena Wassenius; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kemi; Chemistry; NMR diffusometry; dynamic NMR microscopy; colloidal systems; diffusion behaviour; core-shell latex particles; NMR velocimetry; rheology;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the NMR diffusometry and dynamic NMR microscopy methods were shown to be useful techniques with a great potential for the study of colloidal systems. In Paper I-II, NMR diffusometry was used to study the behaviour of surfactant and polymer molecules that are normally important components in colloidal dispersions and emulsions. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Physico-Chemical Properties of Plant Polysaccharides Investigated with NMR Techniques

    Detta är en avhandling från Chalmers University of Technology

    Författare :Åsa Östlund; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2009]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spektroskopi; Spectroscopy; Yt- och kolloidkemi; Surface and colloid chemistry; Cellulose solution; Chemical shift imaging; Cryoporometry; Dissolution of cellulose; Fiber hornification; 19F NMR; Gelation of cellulose; 1H NMR; Molecular weight; NMR diffusometry; Pore size distribution; Pulsed field gradient NMR; Self-diffusion; TBAF DMSO; Xylan;

    Sammanfattning : In the lead of developing new biomaterials from plant sources it is of importance to be able to control and vary the properties, such as flexibility, strength, and hygroscopicity of the final material. These properties are highly directed by the interactions between constituents on a molecular level. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Ions interacting with macromolecules NMR studies in solution

    Detta är en avhandling från KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Yuan Fang; KTH.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; electrophoretic NMR; diffusion NMR; specific ion effects; Hofmeister; ion binding; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Specific ion effects, identified for more than hundred years, play an important role in a wide range of phenomena and applications. Several mechanisms such as direct ion interaction with molecules have been suggested to explain these effects, but quantitative experimental evidence remains scarce. LÄS MER
