  1. 1. Joint Attention in Development : Insights from Children with Autism and Infant Siblings

    Författare :Emilia Thorup; Terje Falck-Ytter; Gustaf Gredebäck; Peter Mundy; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Joint Attention; Gaze following; Alternating gaze; Social cognition; Eye tracking; Infant siblings; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Compared to other children, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are known to engage less in joint attention - the sharing of attention between two individuals toward a common object or event. Joint attention behaviors - for example gaze following, alternating gaze, and pointing - play an important role in early development, as they provide a foundation for learning and social interaction. 2. 2. The temporomandibular joint : Tomopraphic and CT assesment of its bone demarcations with reference to adjacent organs

    Författare :Jan Ahlqvist; Annika Isberg; Sven-Ola Hietala; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Temporomandibular joint; anatomy; tomography; CT; artefacts; odontologi; Odontology;

    Sammanfattning : The wall of the temporal bone separating the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) from surroundings organs, can be very thin and also have development defects. Distortion effects in the radiographic reproduction of these bone walls can result in misinterpretations when exanimating suspected pathologic changes in the region. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Musculoskeletal Development in Jawed Vertebrates : Gene function, cis-regulation, and 3D phenotypes in zebrafish

    Författare :Jake Leyhr; Tatjana Haitina; Sophie Sanchez; Per Ahlberg; Chrissy Hammond; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nkx3.2; Gdf5; Mkx; zebrafish; jaw joint; skeleton; fin development; cartilage; tendon; ligament; enhancer; CRISPR Cas9; mutant; microCT; synchrotron; Biology with specialization in Evolutionary Organismal Biology; Biologi med inriktning mot evolutionär organismbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Vertebrate skeletons are an intricate framework of bony and cartilaginous structures that form through carefully orchestrated developmental processes, guided by interacting genetic pathways that regulate cellular differentiation, migration, and tissue morphogenesis. The specific timing and localisation of gene expression shapes the diverse array of skeletal elements, from the flexible cartilages of the embryonic stage to the hardened bones that provide structural support in adulthood, and the joints and connective tissues that articulate the musculoskeletal system. 4. 4. Maturation-dependent normal and injury-induced changes in rabbit knee articular cartilage

    Författare :Xiaochun Wei; Leif Ryd; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :rabbit; development; maturation; knee joint; articular cartilage; osteochondral defect; cartilage repair; joint fluid; subchondral bone volume fraction; proteoglycan fragment; transforming growth factor-ß; biomechanics; indentation; histology; hlstomorphometry; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Cartilage injuries are common in sports, and may on the long term develop to osteoarthritis. Prosthetic joint replacement is not satisfactory for young active individuals with extended cartilage injuries in large weight-bearing joints. In these cases, a treatment is needed which reestablishes normal joint surfaces by biologic means. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Co-Development of Products and Manufacturing Systems Using Integrated Platform Models

    Författare :Marcel Michaelis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concurrent engineering; function-means tree; product development; production development; reconfigurable manufacturing system; configurable component; manufacturing development; configurable product; platform-based design;

    Sammanfattning : Product first, manufacturing system second. While manufacturing companies in fact make their profits by selling products, the successful development and proper functioning of both the product and the manufacturing system need to be ensured. LÄS MER
