  1. 11. Supporting the Implementation of Industrial Robots in Collaborative Assembly Applications

    Författare :Staffan Andersson; Jessica Bruch; Marie Jonsson; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Collaborative robots; Human-robot collaboration; assembly operations; operations management; flexible assembly; Innovation and Design; innovation och design; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : Until recently, few technologies have been applicable to increase flexibility in the manufacturers’ assembly applications, but the introduction of industrial robots in collaborative assembly applications provides such opportunities. Specifically, these collaborative assembly applications present an opportunity to, in a fenceless environment, combine the flexibility of the human with the accuracy, repeatability, and strengths of the robot while utilizing less floor space and allowing portable applications. 2. 12. Supervisors' role in manual assembly

    Författare :Anna Grzelec; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; assembly line; first-line management; motivation; supervisor;

    Sammanfattning : There are many different ways in which to analyze an organization when striving to achieve better performance. One such way is through analyzing the supervisors in the organization. The supervisor is the first management level, and is in charge of the production personnel, i.e. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Individualizing assembly processes for geometric quality improvement

    Författare :Abolfazl Rezaei Aderiani; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Selective Assembly; Individualization of production; Locator Adjustments; sheet metal assembly processes; Variation Simulations; Geometry Assurance;

    Sammanfattning : Dimensional deviations are a consequence of the mass production of parts. These deviations can be controlled by tightening production tolerances. However, this solution is not always desired because it usually increases production costs. LÄS MER

  5. 15. An investigation of cognitive aspects affecting human performance in manual assembly

    Författare :Anna Brolin; Keith Case; Peter Thorvald; Leo De Vin; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cognitive ergonomics; Manual assembly; Manufacturing; Usability; Cognitive workload; Information presentation; Material presentation; Product variants; Kitting; Technology; Teknik; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign;

    Sammanfattning : Modern manufacturing systems seem to be shifting from mass production to mass customisation, which means that systems must be able to manage changes in customer demands and requirements, new technology as well as environmental demands. This in turn leads to an increase in product variants that need to be assembled. LÄS MER
