  1. 1. Assessment of everyday functioning for adults with hearing loss : Development of Hearing and Functioning in Everyday life Questionnaire (HFEQ)

    Författare :Elin Karlsson; Elina Mäki-Torkko; Johanna Gustafsson; Sarah Granberg; Stephen Widén; Theresa H. Chisolm; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ICF; Hearing Loss; Hearing Rehabilitation; HFEQ; Instrument Development; Outcome measure; Validation;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of the current thesis was to develop a self-assessmentinstrument with a focus on everyday functioning for adults with hearingloss and to investigate its psychometric properties.Methods: Three different methods were applied in the current studies; a scoping review (Study I), two quantitative studies using two different datacollection processes (Study II and IV) and a qualitative study, including anitem-generation workshop and cognitive group interviews (Study III). 2. 2. Ultrasound Doppler Based In-Line Rheometry - Development, Validation and Application

    Författare :Johan Wiklund; Livsmedelsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknik; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Food and drink technology; Livsmedelsteknik; Technological sciences; non-Newtonian; Chemistry; Kemi; process control; In-line rheometry; Doppler; process monitoring; ultrasound;

    Sammanfattning : The trend within fluid industry is towards continuous production, leading to an increasing demand for new and improved methods that allow real-time monitoring of quality parameters and fast process control. The consistency and viscosity can be described by fluid rheology and are frequently used as quality control parameters. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Radiation-induced dysphagia in head and neck cancer - risk structures and methodological aspects

    Författare :Johanna Hedström; Göteborgs universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Background/Aims: Swallowing difficulties are common after radiation therapy (RT) in head and neck cancer (HNC). The overall aim of this thesis was to address radiation-induced late dysphagia with regard to investigating anatomical risk structures related to the development of radiation-induced dysphagia, as well as methodological aspects in the evaluation of swallowing. Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to develop a questionnaire for cognitive functioning, which could possibly be used as a screening instrument for early signs of dementia in the future. The introduction discusses the often made distinction between subjective and objective measures. LÄS MER

  5. 5. TRISMUS Incidence, Effects on Health-Related Quality of Life and Development of the Gothenburg Trismus Questionnaire

    Författare :Joakim Johnson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Trismus; Cancer; Head and Neck.; Radiation therapy; TMD; Oncology; PRO; HRQL; Questionnaire; Instrument;

    Sammanfattning : The word trismus is modern latin, derived from the greek word ”trismos” meaning ”grinding” or ”rasping”. Trismus is defined as a limitation in the mouth/jaw-opening ability due to a reduced mandible mobility. A Maximal Interincisal Opening, (MIO) ≤ 35mm is often used as the cut-off point for trismus.
