16. Broad-Scale Patterns in CDOM and Total Organic Matter Concentrations of Inland Waters – Insights from Remote Sensing and GIS
Sammanfattning : The rise in CDOM (coloured dissloved organic matter) is likely to be relatively more pronounced in remote northern regions. However, there is a lack of monitoring to confirm this. LÄS MER
17. Remote Sensing and Gis for Groundwater Assessment in Hard Rock Areas. Applications to Water Well Siting in Ghana and Botswana
Sammanfattning : Different types of remote sensing data have been evaluated in this thesis with respect to their potential use in groundwater assessment in hard rock areas. The primary objectives of the study have been (1) to evaluate the interpretation of groundwater indicators from high resolution satellite images and aerial photography and (2) to investigate how remote sensing interpretations subsequently can be integrated with other pertinent data, as a decision support in water well siting under difficult hydrogeological conditions. 18. Remote Sensing and GIS : Applications for Groundwater Potential Assessment in Eritrea
Sammanfattning : An integrated approach with remote sensing, GeographicInformation Systems (GIS) and more traditional fieldworktechniques was adopted to assess the groundwater potential inthe central highlands of Eritrea. Digitally enhanced colorcomposites and panchromatic images of Landsat TM and Spot wereinterpreted to produce thematic maps such as lithology andlineaments. LÄS MER
19. Challenges of renovating the Gothenburg multi-family building stock - An analysis of comprehensive building-specific information, including energy performance, ownership and affordability
Sammanfattning : In Sweden and many European countries, the building stock increased at a rapid pace during the period of 1950-1975. This aging building stock is in need of renovation which is a challenge and an opportunity in reaching the energy performance targets as well as decreasing societal inequities. LÄS MER
20. Water quality modeling based on landscape analysis: importance of riparian hydrology
Sammanfattning : Several studies in high-latitude catchments have demonstrated the importance of near-stream riparian zones as hydrogeochemical hotspots with a substantial influence on stream chemistry. An adequate representation of the spatial variability of riparian-zone processes and characteristics is the key for modeling spatio-temporal variations of stream-water quality. LÄS MER
