    Sammanfattning : In many European countries, especially, the heat loss due to transmission and air leakage, in many buildings today, is only a fraction of what it was in those built in the early 70's.     Sammanfattning : Slow labour progress is common in nulliparous women and is associated with childbirth complications and negative birth experiences. Oxytocin augmentation is widely used to treat slow labour despite associated risks for the fetus.     Sammanfattning : This thesis contains a general overview, and five papers on the work, earnings, sickness, and early exits from the labor market of individuals in Sweden. Using relatively reliable data for hours worked and annual earnings, Paper 1 analyses the effects of (previous) sickness on both annual earnings and hourly wages, and find that people have lower annual earnings if they have experienced long-term sickness, and there is only a very week effect on the hourly wages.
