  1. 21. Towards a Framework for Production Strategy in Construction

    Författare :Henric Jonsson; Martin Rudberg; Jonathan Gosling; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The problem with low productivity increase in the construction industry is highlighted in many studies and in Sweden the need to improve productivity and client satisfaction in the construction industry has promoted a number of government investigations. One suggested way of improving productivity and client satisfaction is to move value adding activities offsite, to a more industrial environment. LÄS MER

  2. 22. An Approach Towards Sustainable Building

    Författare :Navid Gohardani; Folke Björk; Kjartan Gudmundsson; Göran Lindahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sustainability; Built environment; Sustainable renovation; High-efficient insulation materials; Sweden Green Building Council; Vacuum Insulation Panels VIP ; Decision making; GreenBuilding; Early stage; Stakeholders; A Concept for promotion of sustainable retrofitting and renovation in Early Stages ACES ; Early Stage Primary Energy Estimation Tool ESPEET ;

    Sammanfattning : The motivation for development of energy efficiency and implementation of novel advanced materials applied in buildings can be traced to increasing energy costs in conjunction with an enhanced environmental awareness among people. This doctoral dissertation presents contributions towards sustainable building, where factors such as building technology, energy efficiency in buildings, workers' health issues during construction measures, and certain economic considerations for renovation of buildings have been considered. 3. 23. Bottom-Up Modeling of Building Stock Dynamics - Investigating the Effect of Policy and Decisions on the Distribution of Energy and Climate Impacts in Building Stocks over Time

    Författare :Claudio Nägeli; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; synthetic building stock; agent-based modeling; Building stock modeling; renewable energy; building stock dynamics; energy efficiency; GHG emissions;

    Sammanfattning : In Europe, residential and commercial buildings are directly and indirectly responsible for approximately 30–40% of the overall energy demand and emitted greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. A large share of these buildings was erected before minimum energy-efficiency standards were implemented and are therefore not energy- or carbon-efficient. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Simplifying LCA use in the life cycle of residential buildings in Sweden

    Författare :Sjouke Beemsterboer; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Life cycle assessment LCA ; Simplified LCA; building construction; multifamily residential building; Life Cycle Management LCM ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses the use of environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) in the building life cycle. While the life cycle of a residential building is an important source of environmental concern, knowledge about LCA remains scarce and sporadic in most construction companies. LÄS MER

  5. 25. A Virtual Design Studio for Low-Frequency Sound from Walking in Lightweight Buildings

    Författare :Nata Amiryarahmadi; Sweden Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lightweight floors; Walking sound; Low frequency; Annoyance; Virtual design studio;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years there has been a growing interest for building lightweight multistorey woodenresidential buildings in countries like Sweden with large and renewable forests. While positive aspectsof these buildings, such as sustainability, ease of construction and lightness, motivate building more inwood, poor acoustic performance is a risk which concerns the wooden-building industry.
