  1. 1. Knee function, knee proprioception and related brain activity following anterior cruciate ligament injury

    Författare :Andrew Strong; Charlotte Häger; Eva Tengman; Divya Srinivasan; Eleni Kapreli; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; anterior cruciate ligament; knee; proprioception; joint position sense; kinematics; injury prevention; sports; functional magnetic resonance imaging; brain; reliability; validity; sjukgymnastik; Physiotherapy; Sports Medicine; idrottsmedicin; rehabiliteringsmedicin; Rehabilitation Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Injury of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) may have negative effects on the short- and long-term function and proprioception of the knee joint. However, existing tests of knee function are often sports-related and less relevant for assessment in the very long term and there remains no ‘gold standard’ test of knee proprioception. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Correlations in multiparticle production

    Författare :Markus Ringnér; Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; String fragmentation; QCD; Correlations; Colour interference; Bose-Einstein interference; quantum mechanics; classical mechanics; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; relativity; gravitation; statistical physics; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; High energy interactions; thermodynamics; kvantmekanik; klassisk mekanik; termodynamik; cosmic rays; Kosmisk strålning; högenergi; statistisk fysik; relativitet; Fysicumarkivet A:1998:Ringnér;

    Sammanfattning : Different aspects of the strong interaction in particle collisions are studied. Most of the work is based on the Lund string fragmentation model for hadron production. A model which incorporates interference between identical bosons in the string model is presented. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Trends in Magnetism : From Strong Correlations to “-onics” Technology

    Författare :Dmitry Yudin; Olle Eriksson; Grigori Volovik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Strongly interacting electron systems; Spin dynamics; Topological matter; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Despite of enormous progress in experimental nanophysics theoretical studies of low-dimensional electron systems still remains a challenging task. Indeed, most of the structures are strongly correlated, so that an effective perturbative treatment is impossible due to the lack of a small parameter. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Multiparticle Production in Strong Interactions

    Författare :Fredrik Söderberg; Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC); []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hadronisation; QCD; Bose-Einstein correlations; Elementary particle physics; Elementarpartikelfysik; quantum field theory; String fragmentation; kvantfältteori; Fysicumarkivet A:2003:Söderberg;

    Sammanfattning : An alternative formulation of the Lund fragmentation model for string states without gluons is presented. It is shown that the fragmentation process can be factorised into a product of transition operators with well-defined eigenfunctions and corresponding eigenvalues. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Study of Ξ-Hadron Correlations in pp Collisions at √s = 13 TeV Using the ALICE Detector

    Författare :Jonatan Adolfsson; Fysiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LHC; ALICE; quark gluon plasma; small systems; pp collisions; strangeness enhancement; correlations;

    Sammanfattning : By colliding heavy nuclei at high energies, which is done at RHIC and the LHC, a strongly interacting Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) is created. This manifests itself through several different signatures, which until recently was thought to uniquely probe the QGP. LÄS MER
