21. Towards Efficient Evaluation of Impacts of Geometrical Variation on Perceived Quality in Early Phases
Sammanfattning : In a perfect world, manufacturing would lead to components without geometrical variation. This would mean that every component produced in a series would have the exact same dimensions and, when observed by a trained eye, look exactly identical. However, the world is not perfect and neither are manufacturing processes. LÄS MER
22. Thermal Radiation from Co-evaporated Cu(In,Ga)Se2 : End point detection and process control
Sammanfattning : The use of solar cells for energy production has indeed a bright future. Reduction of cost for fabrication along with increased efficiency are key features for a market boom, both achieved as a result of increased knowledge of the technology. LÄS MER
23. Potential of Organosolv Lignin Nanoparticles as a Sustainable Flotation Reagent : Towards a Low-Carbon Footprint Mining Industry
Sammanfattning : The green transition is driving a steep increase in the demand for minerals, which has put the focus on more responsible and sustainable mining practices as there is a growing pressure on mining operations to minimise their environmental footprint, mitigate risks in neighbouring communities, and decrease the consumption of natural resources. In 2022, mineral froth flotation was used to recover 18 million tonnes of copper from copper ore, accounting for 80% of total copper mine output. LÄS MER
24. Critical design activities in house-building projects : an industrial process perspective
Sammanfattning : Dealing with planning accuracy respectively design errors is a big issue within construction. It has been argued that design errors are a major cause for waste in housing projects, despite all technical development. Reasons for design errors are well investigated and often relate to human acting. LÄS MER
25. Mineralogical, chemical and textural properties of the Malmberget iron deposit : a process mineralogically characterisation
Sammanfattning : This thesis combine two different but closely connected disciplines in a mining process to each other, ore geology and process mineralogy by studying mineralogical-textural features of the ore and the ore concentrate in an apatite iron ore deposit in Malmberget, Sweden. Apatite iron ore deposits (Kiruna type) exist in a few places around the world and the two most important deposits are mined by LKAB at Kiruna and Malmberget. LÄS MER
