  1. 1. Power to the people : electricity demand and household behavior

    Författare :Mattias Vesterberg; Runar Brännlund; Chandra Kiran Krishnamurthy; Maximilian Auffhammer; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; electricity demand; real-time pricing; demand flexibility; elasticity; appliance-level data; end-use; media; contract choice; de-regulated market; household behavior; intermittent electricity production; efficiency; imperfect information;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I] Using a unique and highly detailed data set on energy consumption at the appliance-level for 200 Swedish households, seemingly unrelated regression (SUR)-based end-use specific load curves are estimated. The estimated load curves are then used to explore possible restrictions on load shifting (e.g. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Apply heat pump systems in commercial household products to reduce environmental impact : How to halve the electricity consumption for a household dishwasher

    Författare :Peder Bengtsson; Jonas Berghel; Per Lundqvist; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; household appliance; electricity consumption; heat pump; environmental impact; Miljö- och energisystem; Environmental and Energy Systems;

    Sammanfattning : In the household appliance industry, heat pump systems have been used for a long time in refrigerators and freezers to cool food, and the industry has driven the development of small, high-quality, low-price heat pump components. In the last few decades, heat pump systems have been introduced in other household appliances, with the express purpose of reducing electricity consumption. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Towards sustainable energy consumption : Electricity demand flexibility and household fuel choice

    Författare :Aemiro Melkamu Daniel; Lars Persson; Runar Brännlund; Rauli Svento; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Choice experiment; demand flexibility; electricity contract; fuel choice; fuel stacking; household heterogeneity; load control; pro-environmental framing; willingness-to-accept;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I] investigates household heterogeneity in valuing electricity contract attributes that include various load controls and information sharing to induce demand flexibility. Using a stated preference choice experiment conducted with Swedish households, this paper shows that, although a large proportion of households ask for substantial compensation, some households are willing to share their electricity consumption information and require relatively lower compensation to allow load controls. 4. 4. Apparater, aktiviteter och aktörer : Lågenergiboende som resurs och restriktion för energiordningar

    Författare :Helena Karresand; Kajsa Ellegård; Wiktoria Glad; Patrik Rohdin; Margrethe Aune; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Passive house; household; household activities; public housing companies; low energy homes; energy use; household appliances; everyday life; time geography; energy order; Passivhus; hushåll; hushållsaktiviteter; bostadsbolag; lågenergibostad; energianvändning; hushållsapparater; vardagsliv; tidsgeografi; energiordning;

    Sammanfattning : Energianvändningen inom bostadssektorn har stadigt ökat och verkar inte minska trots energieffektiva apparater. Genom att bygga lågenergibostäder försöker bostadsbolagen minska energianvändningen, vilket också sker, men endast vad gäller uppvärmning och varmvatten. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Distributed Photovoltaics, Household Electricity Use and Electric Vehicle Charging : Mathematical Modeling and Case Studies

    Författare :Joakim Munkhammar; Joakim Widén; Ewa Wäckelgård; Jesper Rydén; Peter Lund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Distributed Photovoltaics; Household Electricity Use; Electric Vehicle Charging; Markov Chain Modeling; Probability Distribution Modeling; Data Analysis; Self-Consumption; Grid Interaction.; Engineering Science; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Technological improvements along with falling prices on photovoltaic (PV) panels and electric vehicles (EVs) suggest that they might become more common in the future. The introduction of distributed PV power production and EV charging has a considerable impact on the power system, in particular at the end-user in the electricity grid. LÄS MER
