   Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate how future pre- and primary school mathematics teachers change their approaches to mathematics and mathematics education during their subject studies, and also how this view has affected their teaching of mathematics after graduation. A qualitative interview method was used in combination with observations, notes, sound recordings, video recorded mathematics classes and materials produced by the teacher in order to answer the research questions.    Sammanfattning : Urinary tract infections (UTIs) present an interesting and relevant model for studying microbial adaptation. After establishing significant numbers, the bacteria either cause severe disease, or an asymptomatic carrier state resembling the normal flora at other mucosal sites. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Human milk contains a vast array of bioactive molecules, with nutritional and protective functions. This thesis describes the effects of a human milk protein complex, MAL, on tumour cells and bacteria. During our studies on the anti-adhesive properties of human milk we observed that a milk fraction killed tumour cells. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The present study deals with newly arrived young people’s perceptions of Physical Education and Health (PEH). Many in this group are not familiar with the culturally specific elements of Swedish PEH. The study highlights the meanings they attach to participation in PEH and the consequences on their participation in PEH. LÄS MER
