  1. 1. Decisional-Emotional Support System for a Synthetic Agent : Influence of Emotions in Decision-Making Toward the Participation of Automata in Society

    Författare :Javier Francisco Guerrero Razuri; Aron Larsson; David Sundgren; Rahim Rahmani; Alessandro Villa; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affective Computing; Machine Learning; Adversarial Risk Analysis; Broaden and Build Theory; Facial Expression Recognition; Speech Emotion Recognition; Detection of Emotional Information; Emotional self-regulation; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Emotion influences our actions, and this means that emotion has subjective decision value. Emotions, properly interpreted and understood, of those affected by decisions provide feedback to actions and, as such, serve as a basis for decisions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Walking the Plank of the Entrepreneurial University : The little spin-out that could?

    Författare :Nina Fowler; David Sköld; Marcus Lindahl; Malin Brännback; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :University spinouts; research; academic capitalism; entrepreneurship; commercialisation; social forces; Engineering Science with specialization in industrial engineering and management; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot industriell teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Creating spinout companies (USOs) from university research is one focus of innovation policy. The phenomenon features in two main fields of enquiry: academic entrepreneurship studies, and literature on academic capitalism and the entrepreneurial university. LÄS MER

  3. 3. MaltParser -- An Architecture for Inductive Labeled Dependency Parsing

    Författare :Johan Hall; Joakim Nivre; Welf Löwe; Martin Volk; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dependency Parsing; Support Vector Machines; Machine Learning; Language technology; Språkteknologi; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science; Data- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis presents a software architecture for inductive labeled dependency parsing of unrestricted natural language text, which achieves a strict modularization of parsing algorithm, feature model and learning method such that these parameters can be varied independently. The architecture is based on the theoretical framework of inductive dependency parsing by Nivre \citeyear{nivre06c} and has been realized in MaltParser, a system that supports several parsing algorithms and learning methods, for which complex feature models can be defined in a special description language. 4. 4. Exploring models of time processing : effects of training and modality, and the relationship with cognition in rhythmic motor tasks

    Författare :Olympia Karampela; Guy Madison; Linus Holm; Fredrik Ullén; Simon Grondin; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; timing; motor timing; cogntion; dedicated models; intrinsic models; timing variability;

    Sammanfattning : Timing can be defined as the ability to perceive temporal sequences and regulate timed behaviors. As in other animals, our ability to make accurate time estimations is crucial in order to accomplish several activities. Organisms can process time over a wide range of durations ranging from microseconds to days. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Strategic time awareness : implications of strategic thinking

    Författare :Henrik Friman; Peter Stevrin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Strategic time; strategic time awareness; strategic thinking and strategic management; Business Administration; företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Strategic time awareness (STA) is a research project that strives to gain new insights about the strategic thinking process and better understand time in the context of strategic management. The purpose of this study is to understand what managers think is important with regard to time in the process of strategic thinking. LÄS MER
