   Sammanfattning : The aims of the present thesis were to survey the prevalence and incidence ofpressure ulcers in patients with hip fracture and to investigate nursing staffknowledge and documentation regarding pressure ulcer prevention for the samepatient group. The introduction of resource demanding surgery could affect the work process, efficiency, and productivity within a surgical department and factors influencing patient postoperative recovery processes may have an impact on the efficiency of patient care after major surgery.
