21. Evaluating the utilisation of industrial excess heat from an energy systems perspective
Sammanfattning : Sweden aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2045. The need to immediately reduce greenhouse gas emissions in order to achieve climate targets affects industry directly. The pulp and paper sector is responsible for more than 50% of industrial energy use in Sweden. LÄS MER
22. Perioperative effects of systemic or spinal clonidine as adjuvant during spinal anaesthesia
Sammanfattning : Aim of study: To evaluate the effects of different doses of clonidine administered systemically or spinally in combination with local anaesthetics on sensory and motor block intraoperatively, on pain relief postoperatively, and on the incidence of postoperative alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS) in alcohol abusers.Patients and methods: A total 285 patients were included in five studies. 23. Large Eddy Simulation of Non-Local Turbulence and Integral Measures of Atmospheric Boundary Layers
Sammanfattning : A new large eddy simulation (LES) code is developed and used to investigate non-local features of turbulent planetary boundary layers (PBLs). The LES code is based on filtered Navier-Stokes equations, which describe motions of incompressible, Boussinesq fluid at high Reynolds numbers. LÄS MER
24. Turbulence modeling of compressible flows with large density variation
Sammanfattning : In this study we highlight the influence of mean dilatation and mean density gradient on the Reynolds stress modeling of compressible, heat-releasing and supercritical turbulent flows.Firstly, the modeling of the rapid pressure-strain correlation has been extended to self-consistently account for the influence of mean dilatation. 25. Statistical Aspects of Diffusion in Turbulent Plasmas
Sammanfattning : In this work we address the closure issue in kinetic and fluid descriptions of turbulent plasmas. In fluid description contribution has been made to the nonlinear closure by Mattor and Parker [Phys. Rev. Lett. LÄS MER
