21. A blueprint for sustainable consumption and design including performance requirements
Sammanfattning : A Sustainable Consumption Evaluation(SCE) system framework is developed which is based on anextension of current LCA methodology. The SCE system results inEnvironmental Performance Requirements(EPR's) as the key means for its implementation insustainable design that can be used for product orproduct-service system benchmarking, monitoring and evaluation. 22. Use of Macro Basalt Fibre Concrete for Marine Applications
Sammanfattning : Deterioration of concrete structures due to the corrosion of embedded steel is a well-known universal problem. Norway with its numerous bridges, ports, offshore and floating structures along its coastline, is also encountered with corrosion degradation. LÄS MER
23. Safety and Sustainability in the Community Planning Process : Actors' Interests, Roles and Influences
Sammanfattning : The licentiate dissertation “Safety and Sustainability in the Community Planning Process – Actors’ Interests, Roles and Influence” has in three case studies over detailed development planning processes examined how issues related to safety and sustainability are handled in Swedish municipal planning. The research project has focused on three municipal actors; the Planning Office, the Environmental Agency and the Fire and Rescue Services. LÄS MER
24. Railway bridge response to passing trains : Measurements and FE model updating
Sammanfattning : Today’s railway bridges are analysed in more detail for moving loads due to the increase in speeds and axle loads. However, these numerical analyses are very time consuming as they often involve many simulations using different train configurations passing at different speeds and many considerations to take into account. 25. Analysis of large scale rock slopes
Sammanfattning : The objective of this work was to (1) increase the knowledge of the behavior of large scale rock slopes, (2) improve the ability to estimate rock mass strength for such slopes, and (3) develop an improved design methodology for forward design of large scale slopes in open pit mining. A fourth objective included the application of the results to the Aitik open pit in northern Sweden. LÄS MER
