21. Functional Degradable Polymers by a Radical Chemistry approach
Sammanfattning : One class of polymers that is inherently of great value for many applications is the aliphatic polyesters. Such polymers are very suitable for use as temporary guides, scaffolds, for tissue formation and other biomedical applications, due to their biocompatibility, degradability and appropriate mechanical properties. 22. Thermoset polymers and coatings subjected to high compressive loads
Sammanfattning : This study describes the mechanical response of thermoset polymers under high compressive loads. The study is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the behaviour of a powder coating when used in a clamping force joint and how the properties vary when the chemical and physical structure of the coating is changed. LÄS MER
23. Functional PVC Additives : Core-Shell Nanoparticle and Renewable Resource Plasticizers
Sammanfattning : Several functional poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) additives were designed: PVC plasticizers made from renewable resources as alternatives to traditional phthalate plasticizers and core-shell nanoparticle-plasticizers with the aim to design an additive that can improve several mechanical properties simultaneously. Monomeric and oligomeric PVC plasticizers based of isosorbide and glucose were synthesized. LÄS MER

One part is focusing on the behaviour of apowder coating when used in a clamping force joint and how theproperties varies when varying the physical structure of thecoating. LÄS MER
25. Use of feruloyl esterases for chemoenzymatic synthesis of bioactive compounds
Sammanfattning : Feruloyl esterases (FAEs, EC 3.1.1.73) represent a subclass of carboxylic acid esterases that under normal conditions catalyze the hydrolysis of the ester bond between hydroxycinnamic acids (ferulic acid, sinapic acid, caffeic acid, p-coumaric acid) and arabinose residues in plant cell walls.
