  1. 1. Anisotropic mechanical behaviors and microstructural evolution of thin-walled additively manufactured metals

    Författare :Cheng-Han Yu; Johan Moverare; Ru Lin Peng; Joe Kelleher; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hot tensile testing; slow strain rate tensile testing; creep; anisotropy; crystallographic texture evolution; deformation twinning; Varmdragprov; Dragprov med låg töjningshastighet; kryp; anisotropi; kristallografisk textur; deformationstvillingar;

    Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, is a concept and method of a manufacturing process that builds a three-dimensional object layer-by-layer. Opposite to the conventional subtractive manufacturing, it conquers various limitations on component design freedom and raises interest in various fields, including aerospace, automotive and medical applications. 2. 2. Anisotropic Mechanical Behaviours and Thin-wall Effects of Additively Manufactured Austenitic Alloys

    Författare :Cheng-Han Yu; Johan Moverare; Ru Lin Peng; Christian Leinenbach; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Laser powder bed fusion; Slow strain rate tensile testing; Short-term creep; Low cycle fatigue; Neutrons; Anisotropy; Crystallographic texture; Microstruc-ture; Dislocation structure; Lasersmältning i pulverbädd; Provning med långsam töjningshastighet; korttidskryp; Lågcykelutmattning; Neutroner; Anisotropi; Kristallografisk textur; Mikrostruktur; Dislokationsstruktur;

    Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, is a general concept of building a three-dimensional object layer-by-layer. AM breaks through the manufacturing limitations in conventionally subtractive manufacturing, leading to a great design freedom of components with complex geometries. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Finite Element Procedures in Modelling the Dynamic Properties of Rubber

    Författare :Anders K Olsson; Byggnadsmekanik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; akustik; vibration and acoustic engineering; Materiallära; materialteknik; Mechanical engineering; hydraulics; vacuum technology; Material technology; dynamic; amplitude; frequency; Technological sciences; Teknik; FEM; rubber; vibrationer; vakuumteknik; Maskinteknik; hydraulik;

    Sammanfattning : Rubber is not only a non-linear elastic material, it is also dependent on strain rate, temperature and strain amplitude. The non-linear elastic property and the strain amplitude dependence give a non-linear dynamic behavior that is covered by the models suggested in this thesis. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Thermomechanical Processing of Nickel-Base Alloy 825

    Författare :Munir Al-Saadi; Pär Jönsson; Christopher Hulme-Smith; Göran Engberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Alloy 825; Cast and wrought structures; Hot compression test; Microstructural evaluation; Modelling; Yield strength; Strengthening mechanisms; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Alloy 825 material was studied using a Gleeble-3800 thermosimulatorby performing single-hot compression experiments.Optical microscopy and electron backscatter diffraction wereutilized to characterize the microstructure. Dynamicrecrystallization is not considerable in the as-cast alloy anddislocation recovery is deemed to be dominant. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Method for Dispersive Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar Analysis Applied to High Strain Rate Testing of Spruce Wood

    Författare :Svante Widehammar; Karl-Gustav Sundin; Uppsala universitet; []
