Sammanfattning : In this thesis the aim is to explore how the phenomenon of working through child sexual abuse can be understood; its historical, discursive and social conditions and relations to gender and other power structures. The main study consists of 30 interviews conducted in 2003-2005 with eight women, 29 to 69 years old, representing three different social classes, all abused in childhood and all but one by their father. 24. The roots grow deep: Strong yet changeable : Social norms and working life
Sammanfattning : The overarching aim of this thesis was to explore social norms in relation to work and its influence on individuals’ actions and mindsets. This has been done through four empirical studies which investigated the work norm from three different perspectives: 1) the work norm in practice, through the actions of individuals on sick leave during their rehabilitation process and in relation to the system and the actors within the system, as well as managers actions within their organisations; 2) exploring perceptions of the work norm in terms of socialisation to working life and structural changes; 3) a comparative exploration of the work norm between different contexts. 25. Patterns of Repetition and Change in a Psychoanalytically Informed Therapeutic Environment for Severely Disturbed Patients
Sammanfattning : Factors in the environment and therapeutic relationship which facilitate, as well as those which obstruct the process of psychic change were investigated in patients with psychoses or severe personality disorders, starting from a preliminary theoretical model for psychoanalytically oriented treatment. Ten patients consecutively admitted to a Swedish therapeutic community, Bikupan, and who completed the treatment, as well as their 9 therapists were studied in detail during, and up to five years after the treatment.
